Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides overnight monitoring of the Single Room Occupancy (SRO) building and grounds to ensure the safety of the residents and facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors Facility - Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain the health, safety and accountability of the residents. Ensures physical plant safety and safety/sanitation standards are maintained.

Monitors Residents - Observes, documents, and ensures the accountability of all residents while within the facility by enforcing all SRO rules.

Reports to supervisor pertinent information concerning illnesses, accidents, untoward events, staff difficulties, repair needs, etc.

Maintains the house in a clean and orderly fashion.

Effectively handles crisis situations.

Completes all necessary documentation as outlined by the SRO Manager.

Communicates as needed with the Manager On Call.

Maintains working knowledge of all policies and procedures.

This is an overnight AWAKE position.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate ability to work with individuals in routine and crisis situations. Must have one year of paid work experience.

Preferred: Experience and/or training with homeless populations.
