SUMMARY
Responsible for program maintenance, growth, and overall operation of
the Community Residence on a day to day basis. Supervises and guides
community residence staff in the effective delivery of services to
program participants in a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment.
Ensures that all staff is implementing agency, state and other
regulatory body requirements. This position may require use of
personal vehicle to transport clients when an agency vehicle is not available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the maintenance of the community residence and its
conformity to health and safety requirements.
Ability to effectively deal with crisis situations
Provides for the physical needs of each resident by the following means:
-- Provides adequate food, shelter, and clothing.
--Assists with medication management/training and the adherence to
physicians’ instructions.
Properly safeguards resident’s medication and valuables.
Oversees inventory and purchasing of food and supplies.
Purchases minor household items as needed
Reports to the supervisor all pertinent information concerning
illnesses, accidents, untoward events, staff difficulties, repair
needs, etc.
Maintains the house in a clean and orderly fashion.
Encourages residents to complete daily living skills
Delegates shared responsibilities for housekeeping tasks and food
preparation to all residents.
Assists in the delivery of restorative services as designated on the
service plan.
Provides transportation for residents to other need services with the
assistance of other staff.
Ensures resident records are maintained in a manner compliant with
federal, state, local and agency policies, procedures and regulation.
Maintains all records including service plans, service plan reviews,
progress notes, billing notes, third party correspondence and medical
and psychiatric records.
Participates in regular on-call schedule as required by the Agency.
Oversees Admissions and Discharges
Complete Monthly billing (Medicaid)

Management has the right to add or change the duties of this
position at any time.
Master’s degree in Mental Health or Human Services field;
and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or
training OR a Bachelor’s degree in
Mental Health or Human Services field; and three (3) to four
(4) years related experience and/or training with developmentally
delayed, geriatric and co-occurring disorder clients. Prior supervisor
experience preferred but not required.
