Job Description:

$17.00 per hour

Sign on bonus available for this position

SUMMARY

Performs necessary maintenance, repair and upkeep on Agency’s physical plant by means of carpentry, electrical and minor plumbing projects. Performs any combination of the following duties to maintain and repair property of agency, using variety of machines, tools, and equipment. Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from the maintenance supervisor. Maintains landscaping at agency locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Performs repairs and provides maintenance of all facilities owned or operated by TLSNNY, as assigned by the Property Manager.

Ensures all work performed is completed according to agency workmanship standards.

Notifies Property Manager of unsafe conditions.

Ensures all facilities are maintained in accordance with all local and state codes.

Completes all work requirements in the following functional areas: carpentry, electrical, minor repairs and plumbing for TLSNNY facilities.

Recommends to Supervisor preventative maintenance plans. Repairs unsafe conditions immediately

Assists in the inventory of materials, supplies and tools and the maintenance and security of all maintenance equipment

Maintains a positive relationship with vendors while purchasing supplies and materials

Participates in in-service training as recommended

Remains available for consultation when a maintenance emergency arises and in the absence of the Property Manager

Reports completion of all work orders

Performs custodial duties daily

Performs snow removal, lawn care and other seasonal work as directed

Adheres to all Agency policies and procedures

Complies with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations

Performs all other duties as assigned

Management has the right to add or change the duties of this position at any time.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training. Must possess knowledge of carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, landscaping and janitorial.
